This is an obvious case of pandering. Giving the people who want to kill us protected access to the tools with which to do it is simply nuts. Then again the desire to restrict the Constitutional rights of people who violate the law so that they would be brought before a kangaroo court screams of disingenuousness. You would think that we would be united when we are attacked instead of indulging in this partisan bickering.
9/11 Bush was President Bush and even though I am a partisan Democrat I was behind him because he was like I am an American. Come what may we will survive together or fail separately.
